Landis has recently completed a multi-unit, historic restoration project located in the Warehouse District of New Orleans, St. Joe Lofts. The relationship with the developer created a design-assist process, beginning with the feasibility study and carrying it through construction. Landis worked with a compressed construction schedule due to unavoidable delays in Owner financing, therefore an eleven-month project schedule became a nine-month schedule. The project included 61 units which equaled 36,000 square foot historic restoration and 21,000 square foot new construction.

This historic restoration phase of the project includes two buildings totaling 57,000 square feet. Elements include heavy timber & masonry building with steel components; completely new electrical, mechanical and sprinkler systems; masonry wall restoration and new roofs. The project was completed following LHFA (Louisiana Housing Finance Authority) Green Building Standards.
